Expanded Mesh
Expanded metal is created by feeding sheets or coils into a specialised machine that uses a “knife” to cut and stretch the material, forming a distinct mesh pattern.
This shearing and stretching process occurs in one step, after which the material is either cut into sheets or wound into coils for easy transportation.
Highly versatile, expanded metal is perfect for a variety of applications. It can be used in the creation of security screens, balustrade infill panels, reinforcing brickwork, or constructing walkways. In architecture, it is commonly used for cladding facades, building bridges, and designing ornamental features or art displays. Industrial uses include exhibition stands, window guards, cages, shelving, and expanded metal flooring.
